Juror Stefano Catalani, Executive Director of the Museum of Northwest Art, selected 50 artworks from 1600 entries for this impressive show. My mokulito print, Density, was included.

Nature’s Midrash: Art by Sheila Sondik

Congregation Beth Israel, Bellingham, Washington
This career retrospective began with an oil self-portrait from circa 1977, through art quilts of the 1990’s, crinkled masa paper paintings spanning the first 7 years of this century, followed by original prints from 2009 to the present. Printmaking techniques included photopolymer etching, monotype, silk aquatint, collage, mixed media, and mokulito (Japanese wood lithography).
Fuki Town, an original print with multiple etched images combined with monoprint was included in the atmospheric Wintering show at Voxel Gallery, Bellingham, in December, 2025.
Bellingham painter Nancy Canyon and I did a joint poetry reading at Voxel on December 4. It was a wonderful, warming Wintering event!
Ink, Paper, Scissors: Nature Speaks in 3 Voices

Anita Boyle, J.I. Kleinberg, and Sheila Sondik joined forces to create this lively display of mixed-media creativity, which closed with a poetry reading by all 3 poet-artists.
